We Support Active Heroes
Active Heroes creates opportunities for the military community to connect with others who have had related experiences through activities, events, and programs. For those that have chosen a military life, there are unique challenges, and those challenges sometimes lead to crisis, leaving some feeling isolated and alone. Making connections helps to reduce stress, provide camaraderie, and give those who have served and their families the toolkit to build a better future.
Our Daily Commitment
Advocate
For our service members, their families, the community, and government agencies so we can provide them with a tool kit to build a better future.
Work as a Community
Working together allows us to build and strengthen relationships with our community businesses and partners.
Be Fiscally Responsible
Ensure that the decisions we make about the resources we have been given impact those we serve in the most fiscally responsible way.
Our Story
At Active Heroes, we know that veterans, the Military, and their Families need compassionate communities that can relate to and appreciate the challenges that come from military service. To establish a community that can both relate to and support those who have served, there needs to be opportunities to build connections. Without this camaraderie, those who have served can feel isolated and left behind. This can lead to a ripple effect that can lead to crisis or suicide. We believe these heroes deserve to be supported outside their military service through recreational activities and therapeutic programs that can facilitate this much-needed camaraderie. The Active Heroes Retreat was created by military families to support military families.
